Sorry for the slow pace of blogging over the past month. I have been working on formatting my first book Never Allow A Crisis To Go To Waste: Barack Obama and the Evolution of American Socialism for both print and ebook. The printer has just mailed me the proof of the book and it should be for sale on Amazon in both formats and by iBooks, B&N and Google in ebook format in December.
After extensive research, I have identified the historical roots of the modern evolution of American socialism from classical state ownership of the means of production into a new asymmetric form – using progressive tools to achieve socialist ends, while misrepresenting the result as pragmatic “reforms of capitalism." Elements of this evolution were embraced by the community organizing community back in the 80s and 90s, before being implemented by the Obama administration over the past couple years.
Never Allow A Crisis To Go To Waste will explain to libertarians and conservatives why their intuition was correct that Barack Obama has been implementing socialist policies, and to socialists and progressives why their criticisms of Obama as not being far enough left misunderstood his accomplishments. In reality, Barack Obama is the most successful President of the left since FDR.
